This policy governs every supply from Goldy Industrial unless the quotation issued for your particular order says otherwise. Our order of precedence is clear: the numbered quotation overrides this page on everything concerning its own order, because it is the document agreed between us. Please read this before sending a purchase order, since it separates your rights on a standard catalogue item from your rights on an item made specifically for you, and the difference is substantial.
Quotations and validity
- Every quotation carries a number and a stated validity period. Once it lapses the price falls away and the work must be re-quoted.
- The price is built on the quantity and specification in the quotation. Changing either changes the price.
- Lead time is counted from the date approval and deposit are complete, not from the date the quotation was issued.
- Anything not stated in the quotation is not included: carriage, special packing, tooling, and additional inspection records.
Deposits and payment
On made to order items we ask for a deposit at the percentage stated in the quotation, payable before work begins. Its purpose is to buy material and hold your slot in the production schedule, and it is deducted in full from the final invoice. If you cancel after material has been bought or machining has started, we may retain from the deposit the actual cost incurred, itemised for you rather than presented as a lump figure. Any balance is returned.
Delivery, carriage and partial release
We hand over at 3745 King Abdulaziz Rd, Al Wurud Dist., Riyadh 12345 or ship to your site as agreed. Carriage where it applies is the rate of the shipping method you choose within the announced service area. Shipping beyond that area is priced in the quotation by weight, volume and destination. Heavy or long items may need unloading equipment at your site, and providing it is your responsibility unless stated otherwise. The order minimum where it applies is zero.
On larger quantities we deliver in scheduled batches agreed in the quotation, each with its own delivery note and invoiced as agreed. Partial delivery within an agreed schedule is not a breach of contract, and you may reject a particular batch without the rest of the order falling away.
Inspection on receipt
- Check quantity, packaging condition and visible conformity before signing.
- Record any reservation on the delivery note as soon as you notice it. Signing without reservation counts as apparent acceptance.
- Check dimensions at your own works within a reasonable period and notify us in writing of any non conformity, with measured figures.
- Keep the original packaging until your inspection is complete.
Returns and exchange
| Item type | Right of return | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Standard catalogue item | Within fourteen days of receipt | Unused, in original packaging with all accessories, with the invoice |
| Made to order item | Not returnable or exchangeable | Made to your specification and of no use to anyone else, unless it fails to match what was approved |
| Non conforming or defective item | Repair, remake or credit note | After non conformity is established by measurement and our inspection record reviewed |
| Cut or prepared to your size | Not returnable | Cutting and sizing are irreversible operations |
An accepted return of a standard item may carry a restocking charge, disclosed to you before we take the goods back, and return carriage is at the buyer cost unless the fault was ours.
Warranty
Warranty on our own manufacture is set out on the quality page: conformity to the approved drawing and freedom from defects of workmanship, with ninety days on repaired work unless stated otherwise. Catalogue items carry their original manufacturer warranty, and we pursue the claim with that manufacturer on your behalf.
Delay and matters beyond control
If we foresee a delay we tell you as soon as we know, with a realistic new date rather than a comforting one. We are not liable for delay arising from causes beyond our control, such as a general shortage of a material, a power failure or road closures, nor for delay caused by late approval on your side or by a change you requested after the drawing was frozen.
